The Special Representative of the Secretary General on migration and refugees Tomáš Boček has published an Issue Paper delving into the Human Rights aspects of immigrant and refugee integration policies.

The paper focuses on specific integration policies such as learning the "host" language or acquiring knowledge about the political institutions, society and democratic values of the receiving country as well as residency requirements, income thresholds and housing requirements in the context of family reunification.
